SOLD – Australian 15ct Gold Cufflinks
A quality pair of 15ct gold cufflinks by Australian jeweller, J.M. Dempster. Dempster is listed as working from the Queen Victoria Building in George Street, Sydney, between 1902 – 1940.
The shields show a hand engraved picture of Saint Mary’s Cathedral on the front. The rear is engraved to “J.T. Donovan esq. from SMGA, Sydney, 1906”. J.T. Donovan was a journalist with the Sydney Morning Herald. He died in 1922 and is buried in Rookwood Cemetery.
The cufflinks are in immaculate condition in a vintage box.
