SOLD – Kenrick “Hermes” Door Knocker
A cast iron door knocker made by Archibald Kenrick of West Bromwich, circa 1870.
It is 285mm long and in great condition. It is marked with the diamond registration mark and the number 414 which corresponds with this model in the original catalogue.
The knocker depicts Hermes, the messenger of the god and the protector of travellers, thieves merchants and orators.
